It’s the time of the year we’re all talking about transfer, even though the league isn’t finished yet due to Covid-19. Some clubs already got the players they wanting for some time. In this article I will talk about some of the Premier League transfer activities. Which teams are active and which teams are named a lot in all the rumours.
Transfer activities Chelsea
Chelsea, who now benefit from their expired transfer ban, are very active in the market. They already announced the signings of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner. A combination that is going to be lethal in my eyes. As an Ajax fan I’m a big Ziyech fan. I have seen every single match he played for Ajax. Also Timo Werner is a player I’ve watched a lot. Ziyech is the perfect player to assist Werner. Don’t be surprised if you see the combination Werner goal, Ziyech assist a lot next season.
Where Chelsea fans are really happy with their club’s transfer activities, it’s a little bit different at Arsenal. The club announced the extension of David Luiz’ contract a week after he blundered in the Man City match. Arsenal fans want him to leave the club next month, but he stays until the summer of 2021. They are at the point to extend Dani Ceballos’ loan period for another year. Other loanees Cedric Soares and Pablo Mari are about to sign longterm deals at Arsenal. Three loanees who haven’t got the chance to prove they are Arsenal quality. So it’s an understatement to say Arsenal fans aren’t really happy with what they see of their club so far.
The Reds were after Timo Werner for quite some time. Now Chelsea snubbed him of Liverpool, they are looking for other players. One player that I recently discovered is linked with Liverpool is Thiago. The Spanish/Brazilian wants to leave Bayern Munich this summer. His contract expired next summer so he consider this summer at the best moment to leave the club. Jurgen Klopp is big fan of Thiago and Liverpool is now looking for ways to bring him to Anfield. In my eyes this can be a huge player for Liverpool. Football looks so easy when you watch Thiago play.
The Foxes didn’t cope well with the Corona lockdown. They didn’t look like theirselves since the return of Premier League football. They are still on a Champions League spot, so they’re looking for players to improve the squad for next season. William Carvalho is their main target at this moment. The club and player already have a deal, now it’s up to Leicester City and Real Betis to find an agreement over the transfer fee.
