Mohamed Salah FPA Player of the Year

A week ago I posted an article expressing my feelings on this trophy. In that article I noticed a change of heart in my own preferred candidate. I’m 100% sure Kevin de Bruyne would have won it, if it was awarded halfway this season. He was by far the best player in the first half of this season. Salah played an outstanding second half of this season and became my favourite for the POTY.

I think both players were amazing this season and both deserved this trophy. Salah is the one who gets him and I can’t argue with that. He scored 31 goals to date with still a few more matches to go. He’s now the fourth player who scored at least 31 goals in a Premier League season with 20 teams. This is an amazing performance and I’m really curious to see how he will perform next season. Will he even stay at Liverpool? Lot’s of rumours linking him with a Real Madrid move in the summer. As a fan of the Premier League I hope he will stay and plays even better than this season. The Premier League needs players like Salah.
