Football matches to watch this weekend

The sun is out in Europe, so I think a lot of football fans go outside and enjoy the sun. I personally go to watch a match of one of the local teams over here. For the fans who don’t like to go out there is of course a lot of football on the telly. In this post I give you an overview with the football matches you should be watching this weekend.

Football matches to watch

#FA Cup semi-finals

This is mainly a cup weekend, starting with the FA Cup semi-finals. Especially the first semi-final between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur is one to watch. The FA Cup is the only remaining chance on silverware for both teams, so they will play with their strongest teams. The Sunday semi-final is between Chelsea and Southampton. The Blues are of course favourites in this match, but the Saints proved to be true cup fighters this season.

Copa del Rey final

Another cup match, but this time a real final. The Copa del Rey final is the one between Fc Barcelona and Sevilla. Barcelona won the last three editions of this tournament so it’s up to Sevilla to breakthrough this run. Barca has a clear advantage in La Liga, so they will bring all the big guns to go for the double this season. For Sevilla this is a perfect chance to win a trophy. It’s going to be an interesting edition between two good teams.

Juventus versus Napoli

No cup match, but an important match in the Serie A title race. There is a gap of 4 points between Juventus and Napoli on the Serie A table. After this match both teams have four more matches to play. If Napoli can decrease to gap to one point, it’s going to be the most exciting season final in recent years in the Serie A.
