Football Leagues running to an end in Europe

The European summer is incoming, so players start to prepare for the World Cup. While Real Madrid and Liverpool are preparing for the Champions League final, the most leagues in Europe are running to an end. The Dutch Eredivisie finished last week, the German Bundesliga and English Premier League will finish this weekend, while La Liga, the Turkish Süper Lig and French Ligue 1 are ready for their second-last round. In this post we take a look at the football leagues where there is still something to play for.

Football Leagues with something to play for

Süper Lig

The Turkish Süper Lig has been an exciting league this season. Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Besiktas and reigning champions Istanbul Basaksehir where playing for the title. Record champions Galatasaray made the difference in the league few matches. Istanbul Basaksehir drew level on points with Gala after tonights victory over Antalyaspor. Galatasaray plays a home match against Yeni Malatyaspor on Saturday. Winning this match would give them a three points lead with one match to goal. Galatasaray’s goal difference is 12 points better then Basaksehir’s so a victory for Galatasaray will bring them the title.

Serie A

Another league where there is still a champion to be crowned is the Italian Serie A. Napoli gave Juventus a serious run for their money this season, but they bottled the title in the last two matches (1 draw and 1 loss). Juventus is now 6 points ahead with two more matches to play. One point away against AS Roma is enough for Juventus to win their seventh consecutive Serie A title. Napoli plays at the same time as Juventus away against Sampdoria, which is going to be a tough match for them.

These two football leagues are by far the most interesting ones this weekend. Which match are you going to watch this weekend? Let us know in the comments below.
