European football leagues headings towards exciting finish

It’s already the end of April, so we’re heading towards the end of the season in the several European football Leagues. People who used Pointsbet 2019 are getting more and more excited to find out if their teams will win their respective leagues. The first few league winners are already announced. Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are the first teams in the big leagues that crowned itself as 2018-2019 champions. The rich club from the French capital struggled to seal the deal in the last couple of weeks. After drawing 1 and losing 2 title matches, it was Lille that handed them the title by drawing against Toulouse on Sunday. Juventus won the title after getting eliminated in the Champions League last week. Barcelona is most likely to become the next team in the big European football leagues to become champions.

The tension is high in the German Bundesliga, English Premier League and Dutch Eredivisie. The difference between the numbers 1 and 2 in a combined total of 3 over these three European leagues.

English Premier League

There is a big battle going on between Liverpool and Manchester City. Liverpool is currently on top of the table with 88 points and 3 matches to go. Manchester City is second with 86 points and 4 matches to go. They’ve got a spare match on Wednesday with the Manchester derby. Winning this match will give them a 1 point advantage over Liverpool with 3 matches to go. The Manchester derby away from home is considered to be the last big hurdle for any of both title contenders, so a victory for Man City will be a big step towards retaining their title.

German Bundesliga

Borussia Dortmund was destined to win the Bundesliga after Bayern Munich dominated the Bundesliga for the last 6 years. Bayern had a tough start of this season, while Dortmund went flying from the start. The Yellow and Black army had a gap of almost 10 points, but Munich closed the gap and even overtook Dortmund recently. Bayern Munich is now one point ahead of Dortmund with 4 more matches to go for both teams. This season is likely to go all the way to the end. Bayern’s last two matches of this season are away against number 3 RB Leipzig and at home against number 4 Eintracht Frankfurt. Borussia Dortmund’s biggest hurdle is their last match of this season away against number 5 Borussia Mochengladbach.

Dutch Eredivisie

The title race in the Dutch Eredivisie goes between Ajax and PSV. Both teams are on 77 points with 3 matches remaining. Ajax plays at home against Vitesse and Utrecht and ends the season away against De Graafschap. PSV plays away from home against Willem 2 and AZ and at home against Heracles Almelo. Ajax is currently on top of the table thanks to a +11 goal difference.
