We started our summer transfer talk with the post about Luka Jovic. Now we’re some time further and things are really heating up in Madrid. The Spanish giants stayed trophy-less during the entire 2018-2019 season and they aren’t prepared to do that another year. Zinedine Zidane returned at the club during the course of last season and he clearly had his demands for the board. In this 2019 Summer transfer talk #2 we’re talking about the complete make-over of Real Madrid. When you free bet with a bet365 account, you will see that Barcelona is still the favourite to win the title, but Real Madrid is closing in on them. It’s going to be very interesting to see how this will evolve during the summer.
2019 Summer transfer talk #2
Eder Militao was the first signing for Real Madrid, but this transfer was already announced halfway last season. Luka Jovic’ transfer was a big one, but just the start of a complete summer make-over. The biggest transfer for the giants from Madrid is the signing of Eden Hazard. The Belgium star expressed his desire to play for Real Madrid several times and his dream finally comes through. Rodrygo and Ferland Mendy are the last two signings at this moment. Real Madrid showed they want to invest heavily in the team in order to start winning trophies again. There is a big chance they still aren’t done. Players liek Christian Eriksen and Paul Pogba are linked to a move to the Spanish capital.
Competition
In the meantime it’s quiet in Barcelona. Barca bought Frenkie de Jong earlier this year, but they aren’t on a spending spree like Real Madrid is. Antoine Griezmann is expected to sign on the first of July, while Mathijs de Ligt is said to cancelled a Barcelona transfer. I believe Barcelona will need to invest in some players if they want to retain their Spanish La Liga title. The biggest goal for Zinedine Zidane and his team will to get their Champions League trophy back. He won three in a row, but Real Madrid got eliminated by Ajax as soon as the Frenchman left the club. The bad spell after his departure gave Zidane all the cards in hand. When the board asked him to come back, Zidane showed his demands and they gave him their permission to renew the team. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he manages to win the Champions League immediately this season.
