The Premier League starts tomorrow so it’s time we share our predictions for this upcoming season. In this post I give you my 2018-2019 European champions predictions for the English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A, French Ligue 1, German Bundesliga and the Dutch Eredivisie.

2018-2019 European champions predictions

English Premier League

This is going to be a two way battle for me. The reigning champions Manchester City bought Riyad Mahrez and kept all their important players. Liverpool reached the Champions League final last season and bought some top quality players. With the likes of Fabinho, Shaqiri and Keita they really improved their squad depth. The experience of Man City is probably going to be key in this battle and I believe they will eventually win the Premier League this season.

Spanish La Liga

This is going to be a battle between three teams. Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Barcelona will decide which team will win the title. Think still can change in the next couple of weeks, since the transfer window in Spain is still open for a few weeks. Real Madrid lost Cristiano Ronaldo and I think this won’t help them this year. Barcelona is for me the favourite to win La Liga again this season.

Italian Serie A

This is actually a one horse race for me. Juventus has won the Serie A for the last seven years in a row. They are probably stronger than ever with the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo. I don’t see any other Serie A team challenging Juventus for the title this season.

German Bundesliga

Nobody will be surprised that I say Bayern Munich is going to win the German Bundesliga this season. Although I’m not very impressed by their summer transfers so far, I can’t see any serious competition for them this season. None of the other German teams are that strong that they should compete with the rekordmeister.

French Ligue 1

Just like the Serie A and Bundesliga, the Ligue 1 is all about one team. Paris Saint-Germain is by far the biggest favourite to win the French Ligue 1. With the likes Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, they should easily win the Ligue 1 and compete for the Champions League trophy.

Dutch Eredivisie

Three teams will me a serious challenge for the trophy in the Dutch Eredivisie. Feyenoord, PSV and Ajax all believe they can win the trophy this season. The latter is the one I think that will win the league this season. Ajax bought some experienced top players for the level of the Dutch Eredivisie with the likes of Dusan Tadic and Daley Blind. These players should give the talented squad a huge boost that is able to win the Eredivisie. These are my 2018-2019 European champions predictions. How many of these are on your list too?
